They say the perfect man only lives in fairy tales. I'd like to think that their all lying.
He may come with his flaws, and his ways that annoy the hell out of me but I still have hope for the perfect love. When I was little I always imagined the big white & red wedding and Morris Chesnutt standing there waiting for me with his hand out, then I grew to meet men whom didn’t have my best interest at heart and I learned the power of hate and bitterness.
There he would stand with an innocent stupid look on his face with all the thoughts of dishonor and disloyalty breathing from his skin.
Is there a such thing as the perfect man I question myself? I doubt it but there is a man worth waiting and working for. Will he have the perfect job, will he drive the flashy car, will he have his own property, will things of his past come to the present and defeat what I am attempting to establish. Who knows?
So I question myself am I a strong enough women, am I strong enough to fight through the battles to hold back the tears to acknowledge the real from the fake or will I become another "Angry Black Women".
I doubt it because by the grace of my parents and God I was bless with a pure loving heart one that will forgive when I have been wronged and one that will hold solid walls when stones are crashing down.
Is there a man worth my strength, my love, my soul, my everything, or was my journey in life supposed to be alone?
"I have learned not to worry about love; But to honor its coming with all my heart" -Alice Walker
